Phillip Margolin, who read at Third Place Books last night, is at Seattle Mystery Bookshop at noon today. Fugitive is about a prison riot, a congressman...and murder.
The Southwest branch of Seattle Public Library hosts Kären Jurgensen and Shannon Borg. Their book Chefs on the Farm is about life on a goat cheese farm.
At Open Books, Victoria Chang, the editor of Asian American Poetry: The Next Generation, reads from her new collection of poetry, titled Salvinia Molesta.
At Elliott Bay Book Company, Ali Sethi reads from The Wish Maker, "a coming-of-age story set in 1990s Pakistan."
And Elissa Washuta, who just completed her MFA in creative writing at UW, reads from her memoir, The Kindling Effect at the Hugo House.
And at Third Place Books, it's a reading for the book Seattle Noir, a collection of mystery stories set in Seattle. Authors who appear in the book will read their stories tonight. This is the reading of the night.
The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
