News Because the White Supremacy Wasn't Bad Enough

Officials discovered child pornography on a computer used by alleged Holocaust Museum shooter and confirmed white supremacist James W. von Brunn. Guys like this make me wish I believed in hell.

Nah.
One of the things that makes the ideas of heaven and hell so silly is the disproportionality of them. Yes, some crimes are really, really, really terrible, but to punish someone for eternity for them? How can any act or series of acts you can do during a finite lifetime deserve infinite reward? Beyond absurd.
I know for a lot of people math is hard. Infinity is, like, about a million to some people and about a billion to others. They don't actually grasp it, you know? I mean the same people who wrote the Bible thought pi was 3, so what do you expect?

I don't know why anybody is surprised by this, this is typical behavior of people who suffer from the illness of white supremacy.

This ess happens over and over in that corner. +/- Mason-Dixon line. A D.C. activist, Bert DeLeeuw, came to my hometown and became an organic farmer (lovely 200-year-old farm), township supervisor; he and his started the town's farmers' market and revitalized or possibly even created the arts council. Then Bert's wife-beating alcoholic neighbor shot and killed him. The neighbor used to drink every day at the VFW and then go home and beat his wife. On that day, he said, "I'm going to go home and kill my wife and kill Bert DeLeeuw." They called his wife and warned her.
After the arrest, the county was responsible for the murderer's medical. His heart condition almost bankrupted them.

@14: Yeah. Also: He was shot in front of his wife and the local college students who worked as part-time fieldhands. They had a baby daughter. Murderer said, "I'm sorry I'm going to make Chloe an orphan," and Bert turned his back and was shot in the back, died in the pickup on the way to the hospital. No, I'm not bitter. Anyway.

Hell does exist. It is created by people in their own minds and they exist within in it by their own choice. Perfect example here. Instead of living his life for himself and his family this idiot wastes all his time energy and money - and eventually his life - filling himself with hatred, delusion, and violence and spreading that to those around him. He never accomplished a single aim, and has left a legacy of stigma and stupidity. What could be more hellish than to have lived for no purpose but to bring misery and suffering to others as well as yourself? Its just sad, yet we reap what we sow and make our own beds. Let it be a lesson.

In today's fundie puritan hypocritical madness, I'd be curious to know what does and doesn't pass as child pornography. I feel nothing but disgust for this individual but seeing as how they're also trying to lock up misguided photo-sharing teenagers – I'm a bit dubious.

I've looked at my share of online porn, not all of it hard-core, and you couldn't get me to swear in court that some of the girls - particularly on amateur or non-nude sites - aren't 16 or 17. Legal? I guess not. Child porn? Gimme a break. Until we get more details, I think this was just an easy headline for the police.
Although it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility. I used to do quite a bit of research on neo-nazis back in college, and you often find a glorification of the idealized "pure Aryan maiden". A leading bigwig of the National Alliance was recently arrested on kiddie porn charges, and if you read through a lot of their literature, you come across lots of images of fair-haired 14 or 15 year old girls. Just like the mormons, these folks believe that women are for breedin', and the younger you can start, the better.
So I guess we'll see.

10, What about people who suffer from hetero supremacy? You say many of the same bigoted things as this guy, only the target of your hate is different. Really, how long is it before you shoot up a gay club or something?

We don't know what the "child porn" is but we do know that the cops are using it as an excuse to more fully search. I'm betting it's a single photo of a 40 year old in a school girl uniform.
