Transvestite Arrested for Indecent Exposure at Seattle Center

Posted by on Wed, Jun 17, 2009 at 3:04 PM

Seattle police arrested and temporarily banned a transvestite from the Seattle Center last month after she was allegedly caught drinking and exposing her naughty bits to other Center-goers.

According to a just-released police report, on May 22nd, the Seattle Police Department's bias crimes detective—who happened to be working off-duty at the Seattle Center—caught the transvestite and another woman drinking red wine out of a water bottle in the Center.

When the detective contacted the transvestite, the report says, she was wearing a "short black dress [which] failed to cover his penis and testicles." The officer asked her to pull her dress down three times, the report says, and asked if she had any underwear. Police escorted the transvestite and the other woman out of the Center.

An hour and a half later, the report says, police were called to the International Fountain at the Seattle Center after they received a report that someone was walking around the Center pulling up their skirt and exposing themselves. The bias crimes detective arrived and recognized the duo, who were taken to the King County Jail.

According to Seattle Police Department spokeswoman Renee Witt, while the bias crimes detective was involved in the arrest, there was "absolutely no bias crime" involved in the incident.

I blame the red wine. It gets people into all kinds of trouble.

Is "she" the proper pronoun for a dude in a skirt?

I'll let the PC police weigh in on that one.

Not that I have any desire to see any peni or testes, but public nudity laws are stupid. What purpose do they serve?

Transvestite sounds obnoxious. Police sound fair and tolerant (3 warnings?). Jail is warranted.

One doesn't need a dress to cover one's testicles. That's what the scrotum is for.

Excuse me? Does the Strangler report on every indecent exposure arrest? Or just the ones with "transvestite" in the police report. It seems to me that the reporter must check his head and ego at the door before presenting information in this biased way. Is this news because the subject is a "transvestite?" If so, would every action of any "transvestite" would news as well????

There are all sorts of crazies in Seattle, how does being a crazy and a transvestite suddenly make it news worthy? Why is this surprising? I really am confused as to why this "news" from May 22nd deserves to be blogged about.

@15 well gee I guess that would be a good argument if Transvestites were constantly running around all the time talking about the indecencies of public drunkenness and "indecent" exposure.

@3 is right - dude in a skirt is 'he.' If you're using the 'she' pronoun then the word you're looking for is transgender (or, less hip, transsexual). Transvestite is someone who wears clothes of the gender with which they do NOT identify.

What the fuck are you trying to pass off as ironic here? That It should be okay to get drunk and flaunt your cock anywhere you fucking well please in the city limits.

The officer arrest this person and you apparently are attempting to blame him for enforcing the accepted community's standard for inappropriate and lewd behavior. You insinuate that it's a frame up. Maybe it is in the minds of the gender and sexual behavior centered Stranger staff, but not I would guess in the mind of most people.

Will you folks try and focus on something beside your dick or pussy or your life style or sexual orientation and how it somehow relates to everything else in the freaking universe 24/7. Try that for at least 10 minutes. It will be a new record and experience for you.

@21 why are you so hot under the collar? No one here is saying that the officer did anything wrong ... we are just questioning why, nearly a month later and not entirely out of the ordinary amongst the crazies of Seattle streets, is it suddenly blog-worthy... you need to chill out and not just assume that people are being all anti-cop.

In other news tonight, a transgender woman was punched in the face in Belltown just because she was. I would like to extend my heartfelt best wishes and apologies for the human race.

Okay, so this was obviously altered this story so the "transvestite" is referred to with female pronouns, which means, I assume, that you believe this person identifies as a woman. Why then, are you calling her a transvestite? Not, surely because that's what the cops said? c'mon...
here are the definitions:

"transvestite: a person, typically a man, who derives pleasure from dressing in clothing appropriate to the opposite sex"

"transgendered: identified with a gender other than the biological one"

sooo this woman would be transgendered, correct?

I suppose this is news because it happened at Seattle Center and Seattle Center is bad because they built that AWFUL skate park so we hate them and therefore they discriminate against transvestites who dangle their weeners in the fountain.
Or something.

Herr Savage has targeted the trannies for the "treatment".
As soon as Youth Pastors are eliminated Seattle will be cleansed of the filthy gender confused.
Look for more outrageous trans-behavior to be highlighted here...
