It's happening. Despite a government ban. And despite violence by the Ahmadinejad-backing authorities that's producing results like the above. But if you're not following the Iran events here and here and here, you might not know.

1, I absolutely hope not. The worst thing that the US could do is start meddling in this without being asked.

CNN is dead to me now. Their coverage of something this major has been absolutely deplorable.

Word to George Bush: THIS is how Democracy is made. It's ugly, messy and it comes from within the society, not from the outside.

"Posted by Obama will fix this, I just know it, he is our LEADER!"

Yay Iranians.

Khameni (sp? sorry) the religious leader said that Moussavi should follow the legal procedures to challenge the election!

IOW the top dawg just hedged his bets, is straddling and this statement delegitimzes Ahmadinejad.

This pic is heartbreaking but at the same time one can't stop admiring how brave these people are. Their fight is inspiring. Democracy will only reach Iran by way of its people and not by outside forces. I know that they will achieve their victory and throw the mullahs and ayatollah out of power, and when they do they will restore Persia to its past greatness.

You'd have to be living under the proverbial rock not to know what's going on in Iran.
