Slog Happy! Tonight at King's!

Posted by on Thu, Jun 11, 2009 at 11:32 AM

Slog Happy is tonight at King's Hardware in Ballard, 6 pm! Their happy hour goes until 7 pm with $2 pints of Hamm's, $5.50 sliders, and $3 wells, and they have a fantastic patio and Skeeball. They've got a pretty decent jukebox, too!

Don't you want to eat this cheesy, messy burger!? Then come to King's!

See you tonight!

Would it be OK if I had Swiss instead of American cheese? American and mushrooms is kind of wrong.

I'm going to pretend it's made from Lizzie's buttock while I'm eating it.

Sounds good.

Um, a big messy cheeseburger with onion rings looks a lot better than the Garden Burger and veggies that I'm eating right now. Sigh.

I don't think I've Skeeballed (new verb!) in years but I'm excited to try.

I will try to not sing "Skeeballin'" to the tune of Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'" but no promises.

@5:

See, now even if you don't I'm going to have to. I'm doing it in my head right now.

@5: Thanks for that. Now I keep singing some sort of deranged Weird Al/Petty mashup in my head.

@5 Yeah, I'm actually going to REQUIRE that you sing that tonight.

Goddamn that looks good. I'm going to pretend that's cheddar, and not what Fnarf said.

Nobody cares, Will. We all know you're that douchebag who eats, sleeps and showers wearing his SIFF badge. It's the polar opposite of impressive.

Ah jeez, what have I gotten myself into? I don't even know the words to that song. Tell you what, guys, if it's on the jukebox (and there's a decent chance it is) we can have a big Slog Happy sing-along.

Oh, and 16: That's usually the version that goes through my head when I hear the song at work. Listening to music you didn't choose all day does strange things.

I'm afraid of Ballard *and* cheeseburgers. I live in constant fear of being attacked by angry Vikings who will force-feed me an undercooked cheeseburger and give me e-coli. But I'll try to make it to Slog Happy anyway.

@23: You're totally right. I better hit up my coke connection before I go HAVE DINNER IN A BAR.

Sigh. Sometimes I wish we did the kind of shit you imagine we do.
