A few hours ago, next to a construction site that's next to Virginia Mason, a construction worker, fresh out of a blue and new-bright Volvo truck, spat on this plant:
On the back of his red, sleeveless tee-shirt: above, the words "The Crew"; in the middle, the image of skull and bones; and below, the words: "We Kick Ass." But the manly man is really not that manly or that angry with the world. Why? Because he spat in a proper place—the dirt beneath the plant. It is an act of consideration to spit in a place that no one will step on. Had he spat on the sidewalk, we would seen him in a different and much harsher light. Obviously, regular workers do not hate the world has much as the lumpenproletariat.
