Good thing we're not worried about right-wing violence in this country. Otherwise, this sort of thing could get bad.

Or something.

Jesus motherfucking Christ, Will, HOW FUCKING STUPID ARE YOU?

No one was killed (yet). Three are injured, including the gunman, who was 88 years old (!). White supremacist, surprise, surprise. This is your new Republican Party, this guy, the guy who shot Dr. Tiller, and everything in between.

This news is sad, shocking, but not really unexpected...

I wonder what, if anything, this will mean for myself and fellow docents at our local Holocaust Memorial Center.

Hopefully not much will change and we will continue to educate as before.

I think it's a mistake to read to much into the location of this shooting. Yes, Jews are part of the white supremacist target, and yes, the Holocaust is a contentious subject among them, but the bigger trigger here is not the Holocaust Museum, but economic strife, and President Obama. Same thing with the Dr. Tiller slaying.

These people have an all-encompassing worldview, and they (correctly) perceive that they are under threat. Extremist wingnuts have never been more marginalized than they are now, and they've never received more powerful and obvious signals from the right wing of the mainstream -- I'm referring to Rush Limbaugh's "I hope Obama fails", among many other loud'n'clear signals. They are cleaning and oiling their guns and coming up to the surface. I hope the authorities are ready. The next one's going to be at the White House, I'll betcha.

My vote for ironic headline of the year:
"World War II Vet Attacks Holocaust Museum"

Will @6, once again you prove, and re-prove, and re-prove that you are the stupidest motherfucker who ever lived.

In neither of those links does the word "killed" appear, because NO ONE HAS DIED.

Even after your blatant mistakes are pointed out to you, you continue to stand by them, oblivious. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? How can you be like that?

The Elderly Bigot's Last Hurrah. We'll be seeing more and more of this as the dinosaurs go extinct and they cling to their bass-ackward beliefs.

And in sort of related news: http://www.nypost.com/seven/06082009/new…

@8. My inner monologue upon reading your comment "Ha! wouldn't that be funny. [Googles attacker]. Oh my god. He really is a WWII vet. At least according to his own bio. Oh, and he also spent time in jail (convicted by a "Negro jury" and "Jew/Negro attorneys")." Yikes.

@9 - they changed the headline. as news updates they do that - this Internet thing is fast, Fnarf.

My guess is they realized they had not officially been told who was dead, and WaPo normally waits until official sources dual confirm it, and may wait for the victims family to be informed.

@13: One of those people who blame the Jews for causing WWII (and WWI, and every other thing you can think of) - it isn't really all that strange for him to be a vet and bigot/right-winger.

No, Will. The Washington Post never reported that three people died, not even for a second. You are an idiot and a liar and a cunt beyond all imagining.
