Did You Know This? I Did Not.

Alison Arngrim, the actress who famously played that awful little bitch Nellie Oleson on TV's Little House on the Prairie, once released a comedy album as then-First Daughter Amy Carter?

I would've known nothing of it if it weren't for WayOutJunk, who also has the whole long-out-of-print album available for download. (As the skit titles suggest, it's mostly a bunch of drawly Southern mockery...but IT'S NELLIE FUCKING OLESON!)

I hated Laura, I used to activly root for Nellie, I thought the whole Ingells family was a bunch of stuck-up moralizers... it's always more fun to be the bad guy.

A couple of years ago, Alison was a judge for us in the Seattle International Comedy Competition when we brought the show to Central Washington University.

As we were totaling up the scores, she regaled the audience with her tales of life as Nellie Oleson. Sad that the audience, college students, weren't as aware of who most of the people were in her stories.

Because I know that I will never again look at Dan "Grizzly Adams" Haggerty the same way again.

Allison is actually a good friend of mine- she's the first one to refer to herself as a "prairie bitch"... She is one of the coolest people you could meet, in addition to her inside scoops on the cast of LHOTP... Apparently the girl who played Mary had the personality most 'suited' to playing Nellie...
