"This was taken in front of the Gardendale, Alabama Walmart, where the young lady was shopping at the flea market," writes Slog Tipper Edie (who passed along the pic but didn't shoot it, so lore is all it may be...)

The woman was talking out her ass.

It's the underwear that's fun to wear!

Creative repurposing? We can't have that! They should buy the approved product like everyone else!

Old meme. The most recent version I received was labeled "Summertime in Wasilla, AK."

Why aren't all the eco-leftists praising this woman for her comitment to reduce, reuse, and recycle? Oh yeah, because hipster eco-leftism is really all about image and culture, not actions and impact.

well there's handy,and then there's white trash crazy handy; sometimes the line is fine, sometimes the line says hanes on the waist band.

I for one would like to see how this ensemble looks from the front before passing judgment.

#7, I dunno, because eco-leftists don't go around praising every person that re-uses one little item? I mean, seriously, that would be a huge waste of time.

@7, you're using circular reasoning. Why are "hipster eco-leftists" so shallow and superficial?... well, because according to my definition, "hipster eco-leftist" means a shallow and superficial person. Okay...

@7,

Those briefs look brand spanking new to me. Try again.

@12: I think repurposing used briefs would actually be worse.

I'm with @9. We simply have to examine all the facts, very carefully, before we rush to condemn.

@ Andrew Cole: Your picture made me giggle for 5 minutes when I first saw it on Slog. Did you design it? If so, I highly suggest printing a bunch of stickers.
