Fuck You

Posted by on Sun, Jun 7, 2009 at 11:32 AM

I'm supposed to be writing... so I went offline for nearly 24 hours... and I just went on to look up this story I read on the Globe and Mail's website last week... damn.

Can't... stop... listening... to G&O. When the hell is their first album coming out?

You do know, of course, that since you are responsible for hooking many of us here on Garfunkel & Oats - you are morally obligated to let us know the details of any forthcoming record release.

Right?

Damn that's catchy.

That is the best one from them that I have hear (yet).

Very tempted to save it as its own playlist on YouTube so I can have it repeat without having to click to restart (also I can have it playing in the background while I work on other projects).

Here's another video that makes me laugh, not G&O. It's a bit of a trip down memory lane for those that remember MTV and the 80s. Best laugh, for me, at about 4:34.

@4: Kim, I checked this out when Towlerod featured it.

I surprised that it didn't get mentioned on Slog sooner. So very glad that you shared the link here (I shared on Twitter, but that so doesn't count).

Oh, and I agree it is very funny, and a great trip down memory lane. I want to check out some of their other 'literal' videos, too.

@5: correction - Towleroad http://www.towleroad.com/

And the sad thing is that I proofed the post before okaying it.

Why not buy the album?

You can put it next to your "Capitol Steps, Obama Mia!" CD.

A record by these girls would be great, but I'm just not sure I'd enjoy simply listening to them as much as I do watching them while listening to them. Half of their appeal is their comic timing and obvious chemistry with each other. I think I'd prefer a DVD release instead.

Why settle for a cd or dvd? Bring them to Seattle for a show.

Yeah, I agree. After "Sex with Ducks" I've watched every youtube video of theirs at least twice.

Lolz at Ashanti poetry reading! :D

Agree that watching G&O is a huge part of their appeal.

My favorite literal video is Tears for Fears' Head Over Heels

This song was part of the plot on Scrubs, where Kate played Ted's girlfriend this season. It's a good scene (so if you're still procrastinating, Dan, you can watch it).

Am I the only one sensing some sort of attraction on the part of Mr Savage for these young ladies? They look very nice and both have good voices, I can totally see him with Ms Micucci, really cute together. He could give it a try.

Hope springs eternal LOL

He should leave his husband for some woman? Because being gay is a choice, right? Who should get custody of their son?

Those two ladies are awefully cute.

And how amazing is it that the daughters of Art Garfunkel and John Oates got together and formed a singing duo?

17,

Hope springs eternal that you'll stop obsessing over Mr. Savage's person and his sex life. LOL

Assuming that they're not merely tittering misogynistic one trick ponies, I'm really looking forward to their death metal phase.
