The World Soul

Posted by on Thu, Jun 4, 2009 at 10:09 AM

One of the responses to Obama's historical speech in Cairo:

Professor at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, Harvard:

A great investment in our soft power

As I read this on my Blackberry in Heathrow airport, I am reminded of JFK and Reagan's capacity to project American ideals. This is a great investment in our soft power.

If Obama is a great investment in soft power, Bush was a terrible investment in hard power.

The good prof likes to drop names, it seems. Blackberry, Heathrow, JFK, and Reagan all in on fell swoop. I'm a man of the world, look at me.
