Americans Want To See Latina Woman Racist On Supreme Court

Posted by on Thu, Jun 4, 2009 at 11:06 AM

And by a pretty wide margin too.

Americans approve of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor by a 2-1 margin, according to a poll of voters.

President Barack Obama’s choice to fill the seat of retiring Justice David Souter won the approval of 55 percent of the more than 3,000 voters polled, Quinnipiac University said in a statement. Twenty-five percent disapproved.

Sotomayor emphasized her "respect for precedent" in a meeting with Maine's pro-choice Republican Sen. Olympia Snow, a possible signal to pro-choice advocates concerned about Sotomayor's non-existent record on choice. But those precedent-trashers Thomas, Alito and Roberts all said the same thing during their confirmation hazings, so...

Those numbers are almost as impressive as the percentage of black Californians who supported Prop 8.

... to the point ... Obama wins this round ... BIG TIME ... she is an excellent choice in that now, on second reflection, the R's do not have the votes to block ... shrewd political work

I think she will turn out the be the voice of the new progressive majority in a few years ... this woman is well spoken, well educated and has more real experience than almost any other appointment to this court ..

the win for the Obama team ... right wing gets fucked again with the broken glass dildo

... and because of all the early ugly ... Latino voters are turned off for a generation

win win win

Meanwhile the Fix at WaPo is trying to find which willing victim will be the Talibangelist to run against Obama ... without much luck.

The party of No Nothings - if they were smart, they'd go away so we could forget how bad they are.

She should be popular with republicans, as she is known for finding for cops with malfeasance in everyday life.

I dunno, that line keeps playing over in my head, that one about how a Latina woman can make a better decision than a while male.

I understand many of us white males have made some horrible and inexcusable decisions in the past but when she goes into the supreme court with that kind of attitude, I dunno.

On the flip side to that though, find me a Latina woman who doesn't think that and I'll give you a dollar. :p As well there's no question at least 3 supreme court justices think of it the other way around, that somehow the white male can only make decisions than any minority can't.

oh dear ... I only want perfection .... as a mirror image of myself.

throw this lady into the deep sea for flawed jurists ... and of course we all know she is BOUND and obligated by her past ... maybe Obama can find a Big Red Commie for the next nomination and get them confirmed.
