Funny that Cheney (aka: The Devil) has put himself back on record as being more pro gay marriage than Obama (aka: Our Lord And Savior).

Cheney doesn't get many points, given that he's now out of office and his daughter is a lesbian. Wow, real brave of him.

Cheney knows he's toxic to most conservatives, he has nothing to lose.
Thank god you people are dying out with the last generation. No, you'll always be here, but you're by far not the majority. Once more of you disappear we'll be able to get gay marriage available without the need for Obama or anyone else to have to capitulate to your whiny need to oppress others.

@4, it's not news that Dick Cheney has a lesbian daughter and that he supports her right to getting married. As you said, it's been his position for years and years. It is just another example of Republican politicians' inability to do the right thing until it affects them personally.

So are we waiting for it to affect Obama personally before we expect him to "do the right thing" and work himself around to being (at least) as supportive of gay marriage as Cheney is?
I think Huffington may have it right and this issue is going to become increasingly less useful as red meat for Republicans to use to rally their base or as empty promises for Democrats to use to rally their donors.
