Grover:

Kissing, hugging, friends, helping—and nothing about procreation, monogamy, plumbing, God's holy plan for our naughty bits, etc. Via Queerty.

Oh GOD, Bill O'Reily is going to shit himself if he see this.

We know what Fox News will be covering tonight!!

But seriously, too cute but it would have been better if it was Bert and Ernie talking to the kid about it!

Just Beautiful. Yet again Sesame Street proves it's value. And yes, cute as fuck.

I love how you can never really tell if a sesame street video was made yesterday or in 1978.

That kid defined marriage as only between two people. BIGOT! What about polyamory?? Get the pitchforks! Discrimination! Get the bigot kid, gays!

My soul grows a little every time that kid grins and nods in that self-satisfied way. So freaking adorable.

PBS has crossed the line. It's time we picket and start a letter-writing campaign. No more Curious George merchandise, no more Science Kid stuff. PBS is a liberal, left-leaning…. Aww, that’s so cute. I so love Grover.

Actually, PBS can stay. (It’s Elmo who’s gotta go.)

We've got a funny needlepoint picture on my kid's wall. It's a picture of a playground slide, and Oscar the Grouch is on the ladder with the caption TOP, and Grover is at the bottom of the slide with the caption BOTTOM. That's it. Insert your own jokes as you see fit.

@6 - Grover is a monster.

That was cute.

Also it made be realize that I have a co-worker who looks just like Grover - except he's taller, and not blue (but is also a great person).

@3

That'd've been a little TOO obvious. ^_~

Damn, that kid is adorable.

Also, Elmo needs to die. Most annoying puppet ever. >

Is there a monster at the end of this blog? I love Grover.

Personally, I always loved Cookie Monster. Rumor has it they have converted him to the Veggie Monster with green fur. I haven't bothered to confirm this, the idea of Sesame Street without Cookie Monster is just too dang depressing.

cookie monster's still all about the cookies. only, about once a week he mentions that cookies are a sometimes food, and fruits and veggies are anytime foods.

Look up the clip of Cookie Monster on Steven Colbert - I'm far too lazy to link it - it's hilarious

Somewhere Jerry Falwell is sputtering, "Holy Jesus, that puppet isn't blue, it's purple!"

Grover is great, but I always had a soft spot for Big Bird and Snuffleupagus.

And good to see that Sesame Street is still teaching what needs teaching.

Proof positive, that children are not born with bigotry and hatred towards others. It is something they are taught, by their parents and society. Children do have an appreciation and understanding of good things, like love, friendship, hugging and being kind to others.

RainMan 29
@26: Now, now, let's give Jerry's Ghost the benefit of the doubt. After all, Grover doesn't have a triangle shaped antenna nor does he carry a purse...

Sesame Street was coopted by the leftist homosexual movement a long time ago. Parents who let their children watch this are guilty of abuse, and PBS (the People's Broadcasting System) is an accessory in the conversion of any child to homosexuality.

@ 8.... here here. two person marriages are so 1950's but that's what the dweeby gen y gay neo conservatives are shouting for at this point in history, so I guess we give it to them, wait for them to get old and hopefully the next generation will pick up where the real gay lib/ sex lib activists left off.... sigh!

I love Sesame Street and I am super glad I have the excuse to watch all the time now because of my daughter. For everyone who mentioned that Bert and Ernie should be doing this one, here's something you might enjoy. They've given them a regular segment and I think the intro is simply magic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdnRH4k14…

That being said, my favorite character is actually Alan. He might not be a muppet, but he is soo adorable.
