Sita Sings The Blues Returns!

Hello everyone blessed with gift of sight: The 2-D wonder film Sita Sings The Blues —previously gushed over by me here—has started its return-engagement run at the Central Cinema, where it plays twice a night through this coming Thursday, and you should go.

(Speaking of recommended movies: My apologies over yesterday's Outrage snafu, wherein I recommended a movie whose Seattle run has ended. Sometimes the folks at Landmark are poor communicators, and Outrage should be on cable and/or video soon.)

Is anyone else totally freaked out by Sita's waist? It's like her skin is wrapped around her spinal cord.

Eee, I love this movie! Go see it. Now now now. Nina Paley, this movie's creator, is amazingly smart, talented & funny. 3 or 4 different animation styles. Just great.

Make sure to download the unofficial DVD (burnable to your average blank DVD) - torrent and direct downloads are available at the film's website!

I've only seen the streaming version, but it's good stuff. Anybody who has a chance to go see it in the theater should do so.
