Re-bar Happy Hour?

Posted by on Thu, May 28, 2009 at 4:35 PM

Apparently there's some sort of happy hour thing at Re-bar today—which doesn't usually open this early—and it involves some sort of food or something. That's all I know.

Undisclosed foodstuffs? If that doesn't get people over there, nothing will. I don't know about you, but I'm starving!

Man, I love Re-Bar, but I can't picture eating anything in that place.

This is what I hate about Seattle clubs. They're always quick to come up with some new idea to try and get people in but they don't even tell people about it. Go to their website and there is nothing about some early event at Re-bar. What did they send out a facebook message to everyone? Is Re-bar trying to be "private" club now? What a bunch of pricks. That promoter deserves to be fired. I have to say that I have now had it with that club.

@11 I hardly think Re-bar food is worth getting upset over but it does sound like poor managememt. Amazing that place has been in business so long doing stuff like that. If you think about it, the hip places don't really spell out and overpromote their events, i.e. Pony, Bus Stop, etc. I imagine the "secretness" will be part of the concockted master plan to look cool.

Re-bar has food? And if they do, is it edible?

Really people, who the fuck cares? Re-bar food? WTF!
They want to keep it a secret, better for us.

Wow, @11! Don't get all worked up or nothin'.

I hear there's reduced cover at tonight's club night if you have a SIFF ticket stub so I'm guessing this happy hour thing is just a one-off event, possibly related to SIFF

Wow! I'm glad to see so many people are intersted in our happy hour! Let's see if I can clear a couple things up here as well. I'm the booker here. Happy hour is an idea we've been mulling over for quite some time. We started testing the waters on FB and the response was enthusiastic. 2 days later, we went ahead with our first one. It was bartended by our enthusiastic owner and was a great start! That was last night. Trust me, we are planning a push, but are still trying it out. Expect an explosion next month if it continues to seem worthwhile.

The food is made by the same cats that bring you the braindance night BONKERS1 here at Re-bar. They are fresh, tasty fully organic burritos in all your favorite flavors as long as your favorite flavor is bean and cheese.

Should our happy hour take off, we are planning great events to keep it fun: open laptop, undiscovered DJ's and awww jixies, did someone say KARAOKE?

We hope to see you all down here supporting a Seattle original: new faces, old faces and all those in between!
