I just wanted to offer my moral support to Rainbow Love [pictured] and the women of the Sacred Temple after the brutality they have suffered. Abusive men are something the world really doesn't need anymore, whether they're abusive johns, pimps, or cops. Nor do we need women who stand by and look the other way when men put guns in women's faces because they are "only sex workers."At the same time it's clearly silly to call something sacred or spiritual when no particular spiritual yogic, etc. techniques have been learned. Being a healer or priestess means something, you can't just call yourself one. It is a serious responsibility which absolutely can involve sexuality but this involves months/years of training (like sex surrogates have or true tantric teachers have). One of the reasons decriminalization of sex work is so important is so that people can begin to get this training and there can begin to be some standards in this business. Imagine trying to regulate whether food was grown organically, say, if the mere growing of food was illegal! Patriarchy really can't end soon enough, can it?

Here's the story "The Rub: Inside the Alleged Eastlake Brothel," including an exclusive interview with Rainbow Love, the operator of Eastlake's Sacred Temple (the raided alleged brothel) by our own Dominic Holden and Jonah Spangenthal-Lee. Commenters over there are getting into it about sexual release and tax law.
