Two Men Stabbed in Eastlake

Posted by on Wed, May 27, 2009 at 12:09 PM

Seattle police are investigating a series of apparently random stabbings in Eastlake early this morning.

Officers were called to a condo complex in the 1800 block of Eastlake Avenue at about 2:30 this morning after a resident called 911 and reported that an injured man was pounding on the front door of the building.

Police contacted the man who told officers he'd been stabbed by another man "for no reason."
About an hour later, and about a block away, officers found another man who'd been stabbed in the chest.

Both men were taken to Harborview with life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the both incidents are related.

Toss a coin - was it related to the low income housing above Play-It-Again sports or the city's drunk palace at Howell and Yale, or both?

@2, you can take the drunk, low income guy off the streets and give them a room but you can't take the drunk, low income attitude out of the guy!

Hey, why not check a map? It's way up in Eastlake, not downtown. Dipshit.

Was the neighborhood swarming with police in search of the culprit, or is that response reserved for raiding jack shacks?

@4, you might want to check your facts as well, dipshit. Looks to me like this is less than 2 blocks from the drunken shitbird housing that our taxes pay for:

Officers followed a blood trail back to the intersection of Denny Way and Yale Avenue North and located a witness, who had been working out at 24 Hour Fitness when he saw four men arguing, although he didn't see the actual stabbing, Witt said.

Yes, it was near the 1811 project.

Here's the deal motherfucker: that building saves you a lot of your precious fucking tax dollars. Some of those guys when on the street where running up $20,000 or more in emergency room bills alone. That doesn't even take into account the extra burden placed on law enforcement and corrections when people are getting drunk outside instead of in a supportive housing setting. You paid for all that. That building is cheaper, and very little of the funding for it came from your goddamned tax dollars. Move to fucking Vegas if you want to be some place where they just run their homeless out of town. Asshole.

Surely it's safer to leave inebriates to wander the streets 24/7 instead of, say, 16/7.
