This week's New Yorker cover was created by Jorge Colombo using the Brushes app on his iPhone. He did it in an hour while standing in Time Square.

Here's an animation showing the painting being created.

There's a neat flickr pool of art created with Brushes. Some of the portraits are particularly amazing.
