Politics Blast Faxes Away!

Somehow I've ended up on the e-mail list for the Second Amendment Foundation, which this morning confirms what I'm reading about conservative groups gearing up for a big fight over Sonia Sotomayor.
Etc. I just love the term "blast faxes." And the certainty that Judge Sotomayor doesn't believe Americans HAVE any gun rights. (Not to mention her opposition to chukka sticks!)

Really, the ONLY thing I care about is where Sonia Sotomayor stands on gay issues. Everything else is blah, blah, blah.

Curiously, I haven't received anything even remotely similar to this from the NRA. Not that they've decided to sit this one out, but it might just be a wee tad bit too early to be making statements like this.

I believe Ms SM's position is that you are allowed to carry a gun provided that you intend to use it to shoot foetuses.

That the right wingers in the Senate call her a Latina Whore during the floor debate.
If the R's are not careful the Latino vote will snub them for two generations. She is a brilliant choice. Obama and team have three aces in this run.

This is the vaunted "chess game" Obama is supposedly so good at. I do have to hand it to him here - this is pretty smart, for a variety of reasons, not least of which is permanently alienating the Latino vote from Republicans. Too bad he isn't playing much chess for the gays. Maybe he can only play one chess game at a time...

Shit, this is becoming so sad to watch these guys sabotage themselves over and over. It's pretty obviously a trap laid by obama and here we're going to start hearing a bunch of ruckus from all the bozos dumb enough to walk into it.

She appears to respect precedent and SCOTUS confirmed the individual's right to bear arms last year. They need better ammo if they're going to make a whit of difference.
