This Is Why They Call It Torture

Posted by on Tue, May 26, 2009 at 1:34 PM

Chicago-based radio host Mancow Muller—who previously argued against defining the practice of water-boarding as "torture"—subjects himself to a water-boarding and learns a valuable lesson.

Thank you, Slog tipper Juli.

I commend him for doing it. Now when will Cheney and Limbaugh step up to the plate, er board?

I haven't heard anyone who's actually been waterboarded DENY that it's torture.

But they stopped 500 terrorist attacks with this, or was it 5000 attacks?

And that's why such a criminal act needs to stop now.

There's no better recruiting tools for our enemies than the U.S government sanctioning something like this. The remnants of the Bush crime family need to be weeded out.

What a pussy! I've walked through lawn sprinklers that are more torturesome than that.

From what I've heard, they weren't even doing it right. Put him in a room with some soulless SOB who hates his guts and put him in shackles, bind his knees, gag him, blindfold him, hold his head and for gods sake don't tell him when you're gonna start with the water. Pouring water over somebody's mouth is not torture, it's the psychological state of believing there's a very real possibility that you might die that makes it torture.

God what a clown. The guy didn't even cover his mouth AND he plugged his nose? What exactly was he crying about?

Well, there you have it.
Gotta hand it to him for giving it a try and admitting he was wrong.
When do we get to do it to Cheney?

"All that's been done to this country"??? Who invaded us? Who occupied us? Did I miss something?

It should be pointed out that Christopher Hitchens did this a while back for Vanity Fair. Came to the same conclusion.

Didn't Christopher Hitchens already do this? Although I'm not sure who I think would really deserve it more.
