"Arms to the Taliban": During 'Nam, we used to intentionally leak defective arms and ammo to the VC. When they used it, it blew up in their faces. Pretty funny, eh?

Ayup that thing about Democrats caving in on Gitmo is surely news.

the GOP is bashing everyone with "we don't want terrorists in our neighborhoods." Apparently, locking up 240 detainees in Gitmo won't embolden terrorists but putting them in Leavenworth will. totally illogical; isn't the word they are out to git us anyway??????

Meanwhile even Harold Ford has adopted the "kidnapped child" rationale for torture. He said it this mornign "well if your kidnapped child could be freed by torture, you'd do it, right?" I guess he's advocating that in cases of child kidnapping the police be authorized to commit torture. And why stop at waterboarding, who not gouge their eyeballs out and disembowel them? Any why not just torture all suspects, you know, to get the truth and prevent future crimes they may know of? Surely there won't be a problem of other gangs ratting people out falsely you know, to play the police....anyway the Democrats seem to be getting on board for full scale legalization of torture. It's all very logical and common sensical. See Maureen Dowd for a funny imagined conversation between Cheney and Rummy about how they are controlling Obama more than they controlled Bush......

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that the Irish School report comes out the same week that Angels and Demons hits theaters with the deafening cries from jackasses like William Donohue that its anti-catholic and bigoted?
