Eyes On The Thize

Posted by on Fri, May 15, 2009 at 11:12 AM

Two brothers—one gay, one straight—reconnect when the straight bother joins his brother's gay rugby team. Says Slog tipper Nola: "Gay rugby, straight brother, solid thighs. Check out the shot at 1:49. Also of note: Les Mis karaoke, wtf?" Here's that shot...

You might wanna reconsider your decision to quit playing, Chris.

Great piece (and thighs). Thank you, Dan. It makes me wish I had a brother.

Right after "nytimes.com" in Dan's [just-added] link is "/packages".

Sweet story. Sweeeeeet. NYT seems to spotlight warmhearted Upper East Siders whenever it can, in this case JP Morgan Chase analyst Mr. Brockman. The gay sidelight is a nice bonus this time.

They're both great guys. I met them when I played for the Knights a couple years back. They're in town next weekend for a tournament -- you should check the game (and inevitable drink up) out!

Thank you Dan - I have a brother who is very difficult to say the least - I wish we could bond on something but he sends me e-mails that are filled with homophobic and racist humor - we are so different - this story made me wish for something better - Thank you

One of my law school classmates (who Dan would have found very attractive based on what I know of his tastes) was in a wheelchair for life as a result of rugby. One of the parents of my son's preschool classmates has a serious cauliflower ear (both sides) as a result of rugby. I suggest bonding over another sport.
