Is anyone else deeply offended by the idea of a "pasta bread bowl"? F*ck you Domino's. YOU'RE NOT HELPING.

why the fuck would i be "deeply offended" by food? guess what...go out to eat at your favorite local establishment. chances are your meal is probably not going to be very good for you. so why pick on dominos? their pasta bowls are just a reaction to pizza hut's pasta dishes. nothing more. no reason to get you panties all in a bunch.

that being said, i wouldn't eat one. i'd prefer to get my fat and cholesterol at a local place.

I hope ABC36 got paid handsomely for that ad barely disguised as a news segment. Shameless.

That's what might have me "deeply offended," not that some fast-food place is serving fattening food.

On one hand, I'm pretty active and could use the carbs, but on the other hand, diarrhea totally puts a cramp in my plans. Damnit Domino's, why can't I get ahead?

What I hate about Dominos is that their stuff NEVER looks like it does on TV. I tried those nasty ass sandwiches and the Dominos on 35th Ave NE here in Seattle? The fucking bread should be golden brown; NOT pasty white!!!!

Agreeing with some of the above comments, the real story is so much air time devoted to the latest pizza chain gimmick. The real headline here should be "Slow News Days Sweeps City"

Initially, yes, that seems stupidly carb-heavy. But, people eat garlic bread with pasta dishes all the time... so, not that far of a stretch.

But, a 3:39 news segment on it? Good lord. Is there really nothing better to do with that time?

Eating Domino's is a good way to shit yourself to death.

Yes! When I first saw that commercial I thought, "How can they possibly keep coming up with newer, crappier, fattier foods again and again?"

Why is that tv station doing a commercial FOR Domino's?

This guy went to J-school so he could report on Domino's new "options."

Is that reporter a big homo or just southern? I'm a 'mo from Tennessee and I still can't tell the difference.

not gonna lie, i tried it. I gave it a fair shot. They're mostly bread with a dollop-o-pasta on top. All that bread was so heavy that it just sat in my stomach for the rest of the night. I was still full the next morning.

The missus and I have been deeply offended by this particular dish because, from watching the commercial, you get about 10 pieces of baked ziti in this (probably much cheaper to produce) bready "container". Not only is it bad for you, it's a bad value!

Speaking to the video: I always find that the higher the channel number of the affiliate, the worse the reporting. In NYC or Seattle, Channel 2, 4 and 7? Decent news. ABC Channel 36?!? Jesus Lord, you are not news, you are just a corporate shill!!!

Nothing says news to me quite like a pun between anchor and reporter...oh, puns is their any story you can't make more serious?

any chance I could throw the reporter in the oven? No?....oh well....back to the pastza then...

This is definitely an advertisement to counteract the recent bad publicity of dominoes employees video taping themselves putting food up their noses and serving it before posting it on youtube. Showing the employee making the food was an important part of that ad.

i know i'm offended that american's as a whole actually fall for this bullsh!t marketing and believe by buying this overly processed and over priced food they are getting some sort of deal... maybe a discount on death, but that's about all...

Diablo Cody pointed out that Domino's counts one bowl as two servings. So double whatever the calorie/fat/carb/sugar/etc count is, because that's what you're really eating if you can get the whole thing down. Impressive!

Of course I am being lazy and trusting Diablo Cody, you can do your own fact checking if you so desire.

That's my hometown. Born and raised, moved west at 24.

Pathetic that the news covered that. I wonder if they're owned by some subsidiary of whoever owns Domino's or something?

@18 - It says channel 36 back there, but on cable in Lexington, this is really channel 10. Everyone knows it as channel 10. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. Don't know why they continue to stick with 36, which I assume was some pre-cable channel number.

That being said, this channel's news is the worst in Lexington, after channels 2 (aka 27) and 8 (aka 18).

Aren't you all glad you know all that shit now?
