In the 80s

Posted by on Thu, May 14, 2009 at 7:51 PM

Finally, Bush has high ratings for something:

...83% agree that former President George W. Bush has been right to stay out of the news,” Rasmussen found, adding, “Bush stated that Obama ‘deserves his silence’ so that the new president could move ahead without criticism from his predecessor. Just 10% disagree with Bush.”

n.b. to Slog: your commenting system highlights "Obama" as a misspelled word.

And that seems more noteworthy than whatever I initially intended to write.

And why should he say anything? He's got his attack dog Cheney taking care of that. And Cheney is less likely to say something totally inane.

@2: Except when he says that torture makes us safer.

@3: As psychopathically wrongheaded as that statement may be, it's not really "inane."

Now if only Cheney would go wagons-ho for the Wyoming outback, instead of continuing to rattle around the DC area.

someone is wondering why Bush has the skill to fade into nothing in a few months?

it is his natural state

Cheney needs to keep on the stage, he has all those hundreds of millions of war profits stashed off shore, and needs to keep some profile to be less vulnerable

I have not thought for a second about George Bush for weeks, so easy to let go

Bush once again shows his 21st century mentality.

Hunkering down on the ranch and avoiding e-Radar are the key.

Get in the basement and wait for the chaos to subside.

History will soon appreciate Bush.

Obama is already well on the way to turning into Bush 44. Frankly, there isn't a whole hell of a lot of difference between the two of them any more, and it's getting worse instead of better.

Best way to avoid being indicted for war crimes and shipped overseas to the Hague with Cheney for the trial.

He always did have good survival instincts.
