On How Much Pornography Other People Look At; the Relative Appeal of Sarah Palin and Levi Johnston; and the Percentage of the General Population Who Have Slept with a Boss, Coworker, or Intern

A week ago this evening, from 10 pm to midnight, Lindy West and I got very drunk at an AM talk radio station in Bellevue. We were there to talk about the results of The Stranger's sex survey, though we weren't technically even allowed to read the sex survey as it was worded because of all the rules about what you can and can't say on the air, and yet hilariously, during the show, one of the hosts said "fuck" inadvertently. (She was reading aloud that a Stranger reader had written "Fuck a unicorn" as the one thing he wanted to accomplish sexually before he died. The techs were unable to bleep "fuck" in the live airing but presumably it's bleeped now. Haven't listened to it again.) The first hour's here. The second hour's here.

(Yes. TWO HOURS. Of talking. One of us, nervously, could not shut up. But Ms. West? She was all poise. It'll be a few hours before Slog gets hopping, and you've probably got nothing else to do. Those links are totally SFW—so long as you're wearing headphones.)

So glad that you provided the links.

With the difference in time zones I couldn't listen to it when it was streaming, so I'm really glad that those of us who missed it will get a chance to hear what must have been a very interesting couple of hours.

Now I have something to look forward to listening to once I get to work (besides the podcasts on Slog - which I also listen to).

Listened to it the other day. If it hadn't been on so late when it first aired I might have called in.

The only interesting thing in the entire two hours is your mention of falling for a sociopath. Everything else was muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.

I would have called in if I had been able to listen live.

As I'm sure you know, when the survey answers didn't make sense, the culprit was probably a poorly written question. For example: Why do over 80 percent of people say they are monogamous? Probably because there was no choice of "supposed to be monogamous but have slipped up in the past." The 40 something percent of people who have cheated may not be "currently cheating."

Next year, put in more questions for your out-of-Seattle survey respondents. The local Seattle stuff was tough.

Only Mr. Poe would listen to two hours of "muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh".

Lindy & Frizz, I am so sorry I accidentally made your new radio pal say 'fuck' on air. It was never my intent.
