Oh for cryin' out loud: it looks like Donald Trump is going to milk this thing for another 24 hours.

Officials with the Miss California USA Pageant said today in Beverly Hills that title-holder Carrie Prejean is in breach of contract and "entered the contest under false pretenses." Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA pageant, will decide tomorrow whether she will keep her crown.

I was watching MSNBC when the anchors breathlessly cut away live to the news conference that would "decide Miss California's fate." Her fate—as if Miss California were on death row and we were about to find out if the governor was going to come through with a last-minute pardon. I didn't catch his name—the dude with good hair who heads the Miss CA USA org—but he does have very good hair and he's a total raging bitch. I mean that in the nicest possible way. He accused Maggie Gallagher, of the National Organization for Marriage, of interfering in the Miss California USA Pageant and coming between Miss CA from the Miss CA USA org. I'm paraphrasing here, but he ended his remarks about Gallagher by saying that he didn't see why Gallagher would involve herself in pageant politics, "unless she has some beauty secrets she's keeping under wraps." Ouch.
