At the point where 6th meets Yesler...

See what I see?
2cee/1241458884-1241451739347.jpg The incomplete building deliberately echoes the older (and second most important) building (in Seattle).

Pretty impressive building. I love that extra, little red touch.

I see nothing that indicates that they aren't actually the same building shot from different angles other than Charles saying so.

I agree. If you look at the surroundings they totally match.

You know, if you outsource the architecture plans overseas, it's a lot cheaper to build more of the same kind of box.

I don't understand... are they two pictures of the same building and Mr. Mudede is noting that it matches the curves of the Columbia Tower?

The way that Mudede has worded the heading it made me think he was posting pictures of two different, but identical, curvy buildings with red insert.

No.

"deliberately echoes"... How do you know? And how do you explain the red accent?

"At the point where 6th meets Yesler...", or as many of us like to call it, "6th & Yesler".

Top pic, building on the right is the biggest penis-echoing building west of the Mississippi....

Even that show "Almost Live" made fun of its obvious penile qualities, years ago........

I am so tired of Mudede and his "inside" commentary. It's like he expects everyone to be able to read his fucking mind, because honestly, much of what he writes is just a meandering road of random associations that it would require such a special ability to even begin to decipher. I used to think maybe I just didn't "get it" or understand his sense of humor or that maybe I lacked enough of an eccentric knowledge base to "get him", but I'm beginning to think otherwise. He reminds me of that insecure, not-so-smart kid in high school who would use large words (often not knowing what they meant) to make himself sound legit.
