I'm way too tired to say a whole lot about it, but you may have noticed a weeeee little change around here. It's true, it's true—The Stranger has registered commenting.
Aren't you totally freaking out?!??!
Long time coming, lots of hard work, only the beginning, much more to come, yadda yadda yadda.
I'm going to bed. Enjoy.
Oh, and if you have trouble, find bugs, or have any other complaints about our very, very hard work, please let us know. Or Twitter me, or whatever.
And yeah, we know some jackass is going in and registering under established handles. If this moron (or another moron) got yours, let us know and we'll sort it out.
UPDATE: You can register without posting a comment. See those "Sign Up | Log in" links in the upper right? That's the way. Also, there seems to be a fault with the user images, we'll get that sorted out today.
Also, also, in my delirium last night, I forgot to heap lavish praise on our web team—particularly Jay—for all their hard work on this. Ass-kickers, all.

I like avatars. Makes it easier to find the posts from people who consistently say interesting things, and to ignore the posts from those who don't.

@299: I like avatars at times. The ones here aren't too bad. But on some forums when the avatars are larger and animated it's just too distracting. Also, text-only stuff draws less attention in certain work situations. Maybe I'll end up liking these though.
