In case you hadn't already heard...

Earlier this week, Paul Jensen—of the Dudley Manlove Quartet—pleaded guilty to stealing around $100,000 from his bandmates. Details over on Line Out.

I'm pretty sure that "pleaded" is the correct form.

@1, @2: I wasn't aware of this until now, but "pled" vs. "pleaded" is a long-standing and contentious issue. The OED records "pled" back as far as 1596. "Pleaded" is the only correct form in the UK, but in the US, "pled" is OK -- unless you're up against someone who says it isn't.
