Seahawks Re-Sign Leroy Hill

Posted by on Thu, Apr 30, 2009 at 5:33 PM

The Seahawks have worked out a long-term contract with linebacker Leroy Hill, setting the Hawks up to have one of the most badass linebacking corps in the NFL.

The Hawks removed their franchise tag from Hill after signing Aaron Curry, and I had doubts that they'd be able to re-sign him.

Lofa, Aaron Curry and Hill should be monstrous. The 2009 season can't come soon enough.

Yay, finally monkeying around with the franchise tags didn't screw the seahawks, plus with the extra cap room we added Ken Lucas. Strengthening our secondary and linebackers

Lack of using the franchise tag is what caused the problem with Hutch.

What's going to be done about the running game? Our RB's are decent but no substantial threat to anyone.

I think the running game will be fine. Last season we had an injured Hasselbeck and 14,000 injured receivers, letting defenses key on the running game, and daring us to beat them with passes.

Hutch was a million times more important then Hill. 'Hawks had a great LB crew last year, if they get no pass rush from the line it wont matter.

@3 is right. The Seahawks are fucked without a decent running game.

That said, GO GIANTS!

@17 - Fuck the Giants. Your quarterback is the ugly step-son of a great football family. He has to sit at the childrens table at thanksgiving. Pulling a magical pass out of one's ass during a Superbowl does not make him great.

When I get sad, I think about the times the Giants have come to Qwest field to get their pussies pounded infront of a national audience and it makes me happy again.

Lastly, fantastic choke job you guys pulled against the Eagles this past January.

Did they really "sign" Aaron Curry or did they just draft him?
I think there is a big difference since he is going to demand big bucks and wait until #1-3 sign before he signs and reports to camp.
But maybe they did sign a contract already and I missed it.
