Okay, a lot of people might die—but if the swine flu pandemic puts an end to the whole "sex pig" thing... they won't have died in vain.

If people die from pig flu, and it causes people to realize that eating animal carcasses is cruel and deadly to other humans, they won't have died in vain. If people continue to eat corpses, they will have died in vain and more people will die from outbreaks in the future.

@3 - you don't get swine flu from eating pigs. Your attempt to make a pro-animal point during this whole thing comes off as pretty weak.

And come on, Dan, there probably will be people who find some kick in the whole "sex pig" thing. That's how some fetishes develop -- the sense of "dirtiness" and danger. You know that.
