Dining Out for Life

Posted by on Thu, Apr 30, 2009 at 11:06 AM

Talk about bad timing. Tonight Lifelong AIDS Alliance holds its annual Dining Out for Life fundraiser, predicated on the idea that everyone wants hang out in crowded rooms. Thirty percent of your bill at dozens of local restaurants goes toward helping folks living with HIV/AIDS. The list of restaurants is huge. The cause is great. The timing, on the brink of a pandemic and all, is tragic. But I’m going to do it. I’m going to swine dine out for life. Perhaps I’ll even order pork.

(If you don't want to brave the public pens, you can donate online here.)

Only faggots and pussies would be afraid to go out. Oh, shit. Sucks for Lifelong AIDS Alliance.

Very ironic. You want to cause the next pig flu while trying to prevent the damage from HIV/AIDS. If you go to a pig flu fundraiser, are you planning to poke people with infected needles?

I wonder if I can get extra bacon on principle.

@3, I always do! I also enjoy getting a bacon/sausage omelet, bacon on the side, and cream cheese for my bagel for breakfast. If I'm lucky, I can get bacon on my cheeseburger for lunch.

Oh come the fuck on, people! There have been NO CASES OF SWINE FLU IN WASHINGTON ...as of the swine flu maps since last night. The chances of getting a NORMAL FLU are about 80 gazillion times higher than getting swine flu.
Fucking christ, way to increase the sense of panic.

Oh, and you can't get pig flu from EATING PIG, dumkopfs.

Looks like a "which is worse?" situation. AIDS or Pig flu?

Nobody is saying you can. You do cause pig flu from eating pig corpses and supporting their harvest, however.

@7, so we just let the pigs wander around? They won't cause any trouble that way!

It's good that you've drawn attention to this cause, Mr. Holden, but why hamper it in the same breath with fear-mongering (even if you are half-kidding)? You would have done much more good and no harm at all by avoiding the swine flu angle altogether.
