We might as well—because it's clear that Ted and Gayle Haggard are never going to shut up and go away.

In an interview with NewsChannel 36 anchor Dave Wagner for an upcoming Flashpoint program, the couple said they want others to know how their crisis actually strengthened their relationship.

“The crisis story is a reality,” Ted Haggard said. “But now we want to take the time to show our family is together, we're strong, we're growing together, we're deeply sorry for what happened with the scandal, but life goes on.”

When a couple's relationship is strong—stronger than ever—does the couple run around the country giving interviews about how mighty and strong their relationship is? Reading interviews with Ted and Gayle you get the impression that they're talking about the relationship they wish they had, maybe a pre-scandal version of their relationship, the relationship that kept the money rolling in for so long, and not the one they're actually trapped in now, today, post-scandal.
