Crime Suspect Arrested in University District Shooting

Seattle Police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a shooting in the University District on Friday night.

According to police, the man was arrested at 8am today at the same spot the shooting occurred on NE 42nd St and University Way NE.

He has been booked into the King County Jail for investigation of assault.

Thanks yucca flower, but don't get me wrong - I don't get too upset about what they actually have to say ... but there's rarely a time anymore when the threads don't get hijacked and quickly dissolve into total fucking ridiculousness - it's nearly impossible to have any kind of interesting back and forth.

i'm not gone yet (obviously, since i checked back on this) but i'm on the edge!

SLOG posters: quit baiting them!! I used to think it was a conspiracy theory when people would accuse you of baiting trolls with posts you knew they'd latch onto, but now I'm beginning to wonder if they're not on to something.

Wo, did all the bad kids make it to the breakfast table first this morning? Is the Suburban Angst really eating at you this itme and you can't control your inner "off topic" selves? The deal is this guy is from Texas and has been frequenting the shelters in the U District and then expressed himself in not such a nice way. This reminds me of my gripe with the array of local shelters in that no wonder many homeless refuse to stay in them and call them unsafe because they don't screen anyone in anyway and just lure lots of driftwood into people's neighborhoods while the people who run the shleters go home to their other neighborhoods. I'm for social services but these providers are often idiots. The U District is getting oversaturated with social services and that is just one of it's current problems. The shelters spew out these folks in the mornings with no concern for what they have to do all day or the neighborhood who now gets to host them for hours and hours. Great bit of social engineering. Hope the shooting victim pulls through this.
