Police Divers Recover Bottled Fetus From Lake Washington

Posted by on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 10:07 AM

Last week, officers from the Seattle Police Department's Harbor Patrol were called to the Mount Baker neighborhood after two divers found a mysterious jar in Lake Washington.

According to a police report, the divers found a jar—filled with a "suspicious substance," the report says—in the mud in the lake, about 20 feet from a dock near the 2800 block of Lake Washington Boulevard, and called police.

SPD divers came out to the scene on April 13th and retrieved the jar, which they turned over to the King County Medical Examiner's office. Medical investigators quickly determined that the "suspicious substance" in the jar was in fact a human fetus.

"It’s like something you’d see at a medical school" says James Apa, spokesman for the King County Medical Examiner's office. "It was in a jar in [formaldehyde], which is how you preserve medical specimens."

According to Apa, the Medical Examiner's office determined the fetus "did not have any forensic value" and was "non-viable." Medical examiners did not perform an autopsy.

Apa says medical investigators did not determine the origin of the bottled fetus.

Hopefully they unscrewed the lid so that little child's soul can get to heaven.

It was in formaldehyde, so this isn't some kid trying to ditch her miscarriage. It's probably swiped from a lab or a museum, and whoever stole it either got cold feet or has squeamish roommates.

The origin of it was inside a lady, medical investigators.

So, if they knew it was non-viable... does that mean it had some sweet abnormalities?

My mom said that circus freak shows in her youth often featured displays of bottled fetuses.

I forget if they included two headed fetuses or the like.

This will be used in an ad, juxtaposing the jar with a half-floating Laura Palmer.

"If anti-lifers had their way, we'd never have Twin Peaks. Think about it."

Maybe some Catholic School kids stole it from the creepy anti-abortion ladies who showed up and tried to freak them out and put a scare into them. Oh, sorry. Remembering my high school days...and imagining what if.

Wonder where those creepy people got those bottles from?

It's was Loveschild and I's love child. She couldn't wait to flush that thing. I never thought she'd be able to get pregnant, what with her seventeen abortions and six miscarriages, but I guess my swimmers know how to breed.
