As an aside... Ever notice that antichoice billboards never show embryos or zygotes? It would tend to undermine their message that embryos and zygotes are babies.

@2,

I'd like to see one with the lizard-looking stage of fetal development. Sure looks like a baby to me!

I blogged these billboards a year ago, when I saw them on my Flickr buddy Tim Kiser's photostream. Truly wondrous.

The exclamation point after WHAT makes my head hurt. Also, does the "f" in the Pro Life Across America logo remind anyone else of a coat hanger?

@2 I still remember the aborted fetus/holocaust traveling billboard sideshow that appeared at many universities nationwide. The billboards displayed pictures of aborted feti next to images of the holocaust.

University of Michigan was a stop on the tour. I was amused. Others, not so much.

(Actually, there was a trio of Graphic Abortion Graphics-carrying fellas up on Capitol Hill at 17th Avenue just the other day. Is something in town?)

also on Sunday outside Planned Parenthood on Madison and 19th. They were closed, classic example of NW passive-aggressiveness: protesting an establishment when you know workers/patrons won't be there.

Does this mean it's now ok to eat babies? And do you think they would be as tasty as an egg McMuffin?

@12: I would hope they would be a red slurry. I mean, it is just dead cells and blood for fuck sake. What color should it be.

Oh wait, am I supposed to be offended by that?

Almost 50% of all fertilized unaborted embryos come out in a red slurry. Spontaneous abortion is for Christians too! Well, Christians especially since they don't understand birth control.

the grammar makes no sense. even assuming that there was a ? instead of a ! following "what", that's not the answer to the question.

No.
A compassionate empathetic human might pause a few seconds to ponder the untimely death of a fellow member of the species.
From you no reaction would really be expected.

Apparently, all embryos are cute, white babies.

@24: It's not "untimely" and it's not "human". It might be sad to the woman (for various reasons), and the physical pain being endured. But not its not a "fellow member of the species". Sorry. Its cells.

Let me guess, you are a white male of the christian persuasion?

People believe pregnancies are like marriages you can never get divorced from. They don't want anything in life to have an escape hatch.
Welcome to the real world where if people can invent A Way Out, they WILL use it.
Some religions do exactly the same thing, they conveniently change their name and become something else. See how that works.

@25 I think that embryo might actually be a cute baby of non-descript race, but I get your point.
@28 Oh gawd not this repetitive question again. Lets just skip ahead to the part after people have repeatedly offered reasons why your argument is inane (not able to support itself, similar to saying my liver or finger nails are part of the human species etc.) and you have posted that question 100+ times in response. There you go, debate over, point (kind of made) made, well done.

If it isn't human what species is it?

Did you know over 1 in 1000 sperm cells contain the entire diploid (complete) chromosomal count of a human being? That means the average man kills about 400,000,000 complete genetic humans in his lifetime. We need to castrate all boys at birth to prevent this horror -- this is by far the greatest massacre of human beings in the history of the world.
