Today in Traditional Marriage

Posted by on Wed, Apr 15, 2009 at 11:55 AM

The Republican governor of Nevada—a state known for its respect for the sanctity of marriage—has pledged to veto a domestic-partnership bill that is making its way through the Nevada state legislature. "I just don't believe in it," Gov. Jim Gibbons says.

This is the same governor currently embroiled in a nasty divorce, whose wife has accused him of having affairs with two different women, and who was accused of assault and attempted rape during his campaign for governor.

Well, sure, but all of his "indiscretions" were between a man and a woman, you know. It's not like what those filthy homosexuals are doing out there.

"I just don't believe in it,"

Well, I don't believe in god, but you don't see me trying to write laws denying benefits to theists!

On a positive note. Colorado's governor signed the Designated Beneficiary Agreement Act. Isn't that the act that Renfro (possible name mispelling) stated he thought being gay was equal to being a murder?

I hope he does veto it. And I hope the NV legislature overrides it (ala VT). THen come election time, we'll have one less asshole republican governor.

Pretty soon the republican governor convention is going to have 13 southern sates & Palin.

Isn't bi-partisanship great? At least, I think it would be great if it existed.

"I just don't believe in it"

What the fuck? How is that a reasonable basis to veto a bill that has been voted in by a majority?

It would truly defile the sanctity of marriage if Nevada were to offer a "domestic partnership registration station" right next to the Tunnel of Love drive-through wedding chapel.

He might as well just say "Gay people are yucky".

Based on his alleged adulterous behavior, I'd have to say his position is refreshingly consistent, since it appears he doesn't recognize ANY legal standing when it comes to two adults co-habiting.

I know this isn't the point, but I'm still baffled over: Nevada is REPUBLICAN? WTF? I mean... Las Vegas... Reno... legal prostitution... siegfried and roy... insta-weddings... how can they be republican? I just don't get it...

Throughout all the rabid assaults gay activists have committed against families in states like VT, Cali and such I have come to understand that domestic-partnership bills are just a Trojan horse used to force gay marriage on people. So I believe the governor is doing the right thing and I also believe that all other states need to follow his example unless they want to find themselves under attack by a rogue court siding with gays.

1 Amendments banning same sex marriage

2 Bans on gay adoptions

3 Bans on any domestic partnership that might leave the door open to homosexuals to impose through the courts or lobby corrupt politicians into forcing gay marriage

Until the side of the family gets proactive and takes on these three points head on we will be like sitting ducks at the mercy of homosexuals.

A governor in my opinion should be held accountable like a judge. What I mean is that they should have to remove themselves from voting if they cannot be impartial. His vote is obviously biased.

Oh, whatever Loveschild.

Drive-thru wedding chapel.
Legal prostitution.

You have no leg to stand on when you're trying to talk about the sanctity of marriage in Nevada. This is not the thread for you. Move on.

"I just don't believe in it." Wow, arguments against gay marriage just keep getting weaker and weaker, don't they?

Man, I can't WAIT until Loveschild is forced to get gay married. She's going to be SO PISSED. You like to eat that pussy, Loveschild? Come on, the governor says you HAVE TO.

@22
Hell yes she likes to eat pussy. She's a hasbian, remember? Hell hath no fury like a "saved" ex-gay.

The real deal with Loveschild is that she is a masochist. She makes absurd posts so that others might mock her; this mockery turns her on. She masturbates every time you call her an idiot, a troll, or an intolerant dumbfuck.
