Re: Ghetto Fabulous

Posted by on Wed, Apr 15, 2009 at 9:29 AM

Baconcat (in comments here yesterday afternoon) and I would like to know: What kind of retail is Fat Note? Is one opening near each and every one of us soon—as soon as the lending markets "thaw"? It's cold! We need our Fat Note, possibly, depending on what it is!

3 ideas:

An upscale stationary store a la that place in the new condo building in wallingford.

A music store that specializes in brass instruments.

Or a clothing store for plus size people (although if you're fat would you shop at a store with "fat" in the name?).

They all kinda suck.

@2 - Stationary? As opposed to upscale stores that are in motion?

it should have been spelled Phat Noet - its a vietnamese jazz club.

does anyone else remember that the third place books way up on lake city where it comes into lake forest park once had a sign that said "Mall Entry"? And it's not like there weren't architectural cues, either...
