Strange Coincidence

Posted by on Mon, Apr 13, 2009 at 4:45 PM

One of the magical tech guys at The Stranger just saw this post and sent me a photo he shot while fishing the Red River recently.

Indeed, the addition of a dog makes all the difference.

I can't wait for teh racists and trolls (and Loveschild) to start posting. Hopefully they can destroy all rational thought and render discourse valueless like they did on the Kaphar post.

OMG a white guy and a black guy in a boat together! Racist!

Oh wait, the black guy is in the front of the boat this time.

Never mind.

That's because this boat has a motor!!
And, well, you need to know how to use it...

Are these the same magical tech guys who are supposed to be installing registration? Is this what they're doing instead of installing registration?

They're fishing for the secret of account registration. The secret calls to them, from beneath the rippling waves. With enough patience -- infinite patience, the patience of a mossy stone -- the magical tech guys will extract from the land of the cool morning mist the eldrich secret of registration, and -- perhaps! just perhaps -- after a suitable time of reflection and meditation and catching a few seasons' salmon or trout, the secret will be unlocked and utilized and lo! Registration will happen! Could. Could happen. Might could happen. Maybe.

Maybe. But there could be a glitch. Sit tight til then...

Since when do tech guys (especially Seattle ones) have real hobbies like fishing?

That makes this picture even better.

Really nice shot. I have been staring at it for a while, it is really a wonderful image.

Big Sven, herr Keck was on KUOW this afternoon defending Slog and promised a variation on registration soon. And Tim would never lie to us now, would he?

P.S. he was on following a hysterical reading of back and forth comments from the commander in chief thread. Unfortunately for elenchos, they changed his pussy into a wussy.

That's an outrage against art.

It's not funny any more if you don't say pussy.

Crap, I just got to their reading, finally at the end of the show. They RUINED it -- totally failed to get the tone right. As you would expect.

Also, Tim Keck kind of mischaracterized what they deleted. They didn't delete any of my awesome and intelligent input which was read (in the wrong) tone on the radio. All they deleted were the actual sock puppets of me which I had requested they delete. I win.
