Is there a chance that the whole NOM thing is just some crazy satire/spoof by Sasha Baron Cohen? Because that would be funny.
Though, I do really enjoy the possibility that some PR firm was hired to come up with the name of their initiative, and someone there suggested 2M4M as a little fuck you to NOM....

@1, I'm wondering too. Their internet presence is very patchy -- nothing on Facebook, just the website and a couple of Youtube videos as far as I can tell. And they do seem to be stepping in it over and over, and in rather gay-sounding ways. Most of the people talking about them on blogs and stuff are ripping them to shreds, not championing them. If they are fake-os, they're doing a nice job of it.
It would be even funnier if Loveschild has sent them in a really big check.
I'm hoping for a big "2M4M" turnout on the appointed day of about thirty people.

You have to watch Rachel Maddow's report on teabagging (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/…). How Anna Marie Cox keeps a straight face is beyond me. This is hilarious.

I'm going with the "inside job" theory here. The NOM thing is real, but there are moles inside who leaked the "auditions" and came up with 4M2M. Gotta be.

Fnarf: Another fun thing is that www.2m4m.org, which would be the natural website for them, is a pro gay marriage site. Idiots do not do any homework.

Actually dean_p, it's not that they don't do their homework, it's that they don't cover all their bases and register the obvious domain names before their campaign goes live. So instead, some computer geek with decent family values registers the domain and throws together a rough site as fast as he can. Then some of his friends start helping him with this worthy project. You know what? Maybe the right wing extremists have done something right for once. Sure they didn't get permits, or have a clear message, or follow logic or reason. However, they did finally start to name protests and movements after existing sex terms to keep the dirty Savage Love readers from creating a new sex terms in their honor... Clever bastards...
