Possibly because publications like New York magazine keep discovering it and linking to it, Lindy West's feature last week, "The Different Kinds of People That There Are," keeps getting comments. It is now one comment away from 300. (Though some incendiary Slog posts have gotten more comments, 299 is the most for any feature we've published since enabling comments on articles a couple months ago.) Whoever posts the 300th comment will be the lucky beneficiary of confetti raining down on them.*

(Also: If you'd like to hear Ms. West's interview about the story on the radio last night, here you go. A quibble: Why did interviewer Luke Burbank mostly ask about the boring kinds of people? Why didn't he ask about the people-who-post-mean-blog-comments one?)

* So long as said 300th commenter chops up some paper, throws it up into the air, and walks under it.
