How many balls does her sack hold? Kruk's can only hold one.

The nicest opening day weather we've had in Seattle since Safeco Field was built... and they're opening in Minnesota. Seattle sports are fucking cursed.

Er, I'm not sure a non-Spanish speaker who calls it "futbol" can realistically call someone else a douche.

I'm sorry that so many of my fellow soccer fans take the hook so easily, Jonah. Hint: you're being trolled. No one's making you take that bait except yourself, Andrew & Co.

I watched the Wings / Wild game yesterday. You wanna talk action! Pro hockey players never stop moving and that's a long-ass season to never stop moving in. Always positioning themselves off the position of the puck. It's like a friggin spirograph. Yeah, I know hockey players play in shifts, but I hate watching soccer players standing around picking their asses when the ball's not near them. You know what they say -- Time to lean, time to clean!

Man I think I watched 500 preseason baseball games already. I'm ready for ten after five.

How come there's never any news from the skateboarding world? I mean other than news of skateboarders being victimized and discriminated against and generally kicked around like mangy stray dogs. Does anything besides skaters getting rolled happen in that scene? 'Cause I'm hungry for some news.

The best baseball story of the day is at McSweeney's.

Jonah, a new sports station debuted on 710 AM.

LeBron James is the greatest artist of this decade. If you were ever an NBA fan and you're not watching as it enters a new golden era, your loss.

@ 14- I watch basketball occasionally. Usually during the playoffs or if I'm in a bar. I agree that King James is a modern marvel.

That's when Kruk was slim. Right before Joe Carter killed the Phillies' dreams on that dreaded night in Toronto when with 2 outs and a 6 to 5 score, he hit one off wild thing that still has not landed. How I hate Joe Carter, how I hate Oklahoma's favorite son. For those sports fans who hate or can not see the beauty of baseball, I pity you.

Doug is right- what a gorgeous day and opening day is in a shit hole called Minnesota.

So, does anyone still miss the Sonics?

Fine, then get the heck out of town, this is Sounders Country!

The home opener calls for a high of 49 with a 60% chance of rain and 65% cloud cover.

Comparing the Sounders to the Sonics -- as if the former could replace the latter -- totally misses the point. One's an indoor sport, one's an outdoor sport. One takes place in the winter, the other in the summer. Heck, they could bring a pro basketball team to Qwest Field and have them play in June, but it still wouldn't be anything like the experience of a Sonics game at the Key.

I'm not a Phils phan, SeMe, but I'm 100% with you on the Joe Carter hate. He's probably my second-least-favorite player from that era, after Don Mattingly.

My Fantasy league baseball team is currently in 6th place, but none of my Mariners (I have a lot of them) have played yet. I wish Ichiro wasn't on the DL.

Oh, and Safeco Field in April is usually miserable, who could have predicted it would be 68° today?

The question is, would that lady (who is definitely not John Kruk) benefit from high doses of steroids as much as John Kruk has?

I mean for God's sake, he doesn't have a neck.

The NCAA men's national championship basketball game is being played today and it doesn't deserve any mention? Truly unbelieveable
