There Is No Try, Only Do

Posted by on Fri, Apr 3, 2009 at 3:25 PM

In honor of this weekend's nerd orgy, I bring you the Worst Homemade Star Wars Costumes, courtesy of Holy Taco.

Some of them aren't that bad, but my two favorites are this Lego-looking Stormtrooper:

and this one, which looks like an unshorn Harry Knowles:

More photos at Holy Taco.

A picture of Paul Constant wearing the world's BEST Star Wars costume can also be found here.

Are you sure that's not the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

Sometimes when you make fun of what the kids are doing, you just show how old and out of touch you are. That's not a bad, Lego-looking Stormtrooper costume. That's a very impressive costume of a Stormtrooper from the Lego Star Wars series of toys and video games, which depicts all of the Star Wars characters as composed of specially-made Lego Blocks.

I think both of those costumes are a hell of a lot better than I could have done. And I think Paul (or whoever) looks more like a Power Ranger than a Star Wars figure.
