Crime Perugian Gothic

A prosecution witness testified Friday she heard a woman's scream that "made her skin crawl" on the night a British student was killed in the Italian university town of Perugia.Nara Capezzali - whose apartment overlooks the one where 21-year-old Meredith Kercher was slain in 2007 — also said she heard at least two people running shortly after the scream...
...In testimony Capezzali made a screeching noise to imitate the scream she said she heard from her living room window.
"It was a prolonged woman's scream," she said. "It was not normal, it made my skin crawl. Every time I walk near that window, I hear it again."
As time passes, this recurring scream will less and less be a sign of Meredith's murder and more and more a sign of just the window. Nara's window will become a screaming window. Be it day or night, whenever she looks at the window in the room that faces the ancient and dark-green Umbrian valley, the very glass of it will scream at her without shattering. Such is the nature of all objects. They are always ready to embody a lost soul.

Wasn't Meredith Kercher's windpipe crushed, and her throat slashed? Whatever this woman heard or imagined, it wasn't Meredith's death scream, which is clearly the Gothic impression they are giving here. Eyewitness testimony is worthless. Unfortunately, the Italian authorities, being Italian and therefore unfamiliar with concepts like "truth", are treating this case as if it was a movie script.

Oh boo hoo, she was framed, free this poor imperiled girl with her grim joker-like smile and surreal detachment from remorse or sympathy.
I've wondered why, if she's innocent, she hasn't shown any inkling of sympathy toward her former classmate, just the futile banging of her fists on her cell door. Normally you get the accused shrieking about how they feel so bad for everyone's loss and how they miss and adored the victim alongside pleas for freedom. Not here.
It sounds like she thinks mommy and daddy can buy her freedom. It's so very grimly Seattle.

charles, i hope you posted on the crazy fuck albanian who ran his car into knox & solecitto, who he thought were trash bags - then knox threatened him with a knife.
i cannot glean from the news stories how badly knox's attorney is ripping up these melodramatic witnesses.
@4: what is knox's MOTIVE for killing her roommate? her "joker-like smile" isn't really proof of anything, is it?

yeah there is no way those African men raped and killed her or anything, that is impossible, African men never rape and kill, and it is totally racist to suggest such a thing

why didn't Nara call the police?
and of course with three people killing her no one had their hand over her mouth or was choking her.
baconcat - when should she speak of MK? at the trial? should stand up every day and weep for MK? if you were on trial for something you didn't do would you focus on the victim or your case?
the witnesses have added more doubt to her guilt by giving times she was seen that would make her involvement impossible. the park bench witness states that RS and AK were in the plaza between 9:30 and 11:30. even if they left and came back it seems they would have been bloody after the killing but no such testimony and would they really have been walking around that way after the killing.
the forensics are also hard to buy. they were able to clean the killing room except for a tiny bit of DNA found six weeks after the crime but they couldn't clean one knife in three days. the cop that "found" the knife took only that one knife from the RS's apartment even though there were many more in the drawer. the knife supposedly had AK's and MK's DNA - makes no sense that they cleaned it and got rid of everybody's DNA off the knife except those two, right. RS had used that knife why wasn't his on it?

theory: guede did it. freaked, he had to evacuate his bowels. freaked or wanting to be quiet, he didn't flush. knox & solecitto come back, find the body, stupidly think they're implicated because guede is their hash dealer, try to clean up the scene. knox acts fucking wierd because she's PTSD'd. she gets her stories wrong because she's trying to protect solecitto? guede? herself?
