Can't Miss This

Posted by on Thu, Mar 26, 2009 at 5:36 PM

Longtime Seattelites will remember Pistil Books, the great used bookstore over where the Cha Cha is now. They still do a brisk business online, but this weekend you'll be able to relive that brick-and-mortary magic at a yard sale that looks like a can't-miss:

Spring BOOK SALE and YARD SALE

SATURDAY, 3/28 at 10 a.m.

1415 E. UNION in the alley

Paperbacks $1 or 6 for $5
Hardbacks $2 or 6 for $10

also

Clothes, CDs, other neat stuff

Free pony to s/he who buys the most books!!!

We will re-schedule in the highly unlikely event of rain....

Now is the time to replenish your libraries, people.

Brings back such memories - going to Pistil to buy cheap paperbacks and fun postcards after an evening at the Wildrose was a favorite activity. Thanks for the heads up on the sale, glad they're still around, albeit online.

Gosh, Amy from Pistil Books, I sure wish there had been some mention of that ON YOUR WEBSITE or somewhere I would have checked before standing out in the rain waiting for a booksale to happen. I bet the other people standing out in the rain would also have liked that, too.
