As Jonah and Erica noted yesterday, Mike McGinn, founder of the Seattle Great City Initiative, launched his bid for mayor yesterday at Piecora's Pizza on Capitol Hill. The ever-present David Albright (aka Cheesecake) has video—and, in an interesting innovation, it's video captioned with comments from around the web.

Also: "three important issues" fail. None of the three big issues have anything to do with the mayor or the city of Seattle. The schools and the buses are NEVER going to be run by the city; that's ridiculous. City-run internet is a non-starter. What job is he running for, again?

Kinda reminds me of Cheryl Chow. At least she finally had the sense to run for the School Board by actually running for the School Board, though.

woot, my comment made it in there. But the lack of context makes "I don't care if Karl Rove runs his campaign" strange.

I tried playing this on my HDTV but the picture broke up.

And the quadrophonic sound system didn't seem to work correctly.

@10, yeah sorry the sound quality on this was horrible, I was expecting there to be a sound system. sounds fine on laptop speakers but not much else.
