That model of plane is built to hold 9-10 people, but it had up to 17 on there? I know kids are smaller than adults, but still. Prepare for an onslaught of lawsuits every which way in this case.

Mind you, flying in the mountains during storm season is slightly risky all the time, so I doubt the risk factor was that much worse.

I'd be far more worried if it was full complement of typically overweight American adults, mind you.

I've read a certain singer/actress died the same way back in 2001, if it was about too much weight on the plane, that is.

No, if it was a protest against the war on Iraq it would have not involved 14 Americans dying.
