I know you are traveling Dan but I gotta say, Slog has sucked lately, there aren't any real time posts about interesting news items of the day, which is what I come to Slog for. Vermont Senate passes gay marriage amendment, people!

Remember if it looks like Canada, talks like Canada, it IS Canada...

My mother being a "Troll", I am completely over and without any remorse for the plight of Yoopers and their Yooperness. In fact, I would not be sad if Canada used it as a bomb testing range.

Eh, buddy.

This is your subtle reminder that Michigan is a hipster and would fit right in in Seattle -- land of the ironic hats.

Oh god what on earth are you doing there? Don't tell me you're going to speak at Lake Superior State Universtiy or Marquette?! Get out now...or at least cross the Mackinaw and stop in Traverse City. Seriously, I'm related to some of those people. No good can come of this Dan.

BB@21: no kiddin'? I did the circle tour a few years ago. Five of the best days of my life, and Copper Harbor to Eagle Harbor was the crown jewel. Though Pictured Rocks was pretty fucking tremendous as well.

On a related note, the upper peninsula is also known as the UP, which is also an abbreviation for urethral play, which is sounding, which you referred to last week.
