I'm Excited to See This

Posted by on Wed, Mar 18, 2009 at 3:15 PM

This is the just-released trailer for Away We Go, a new movie written by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida and directed by Sam Mendes:

It comes out this summer. Movies written by good writers who are a couple don't have the best track record—somehow, Joan Didion and John Gregory Dunne never managed to get their shit together and write the really magical movie that they could've—but I can't wait to see this one.

Love Maya Rudolph. I've been waiting for her to take off, her freckled face makes me happy.

#4 - You nailed it.

This gem is geared for US, fertile Stranger readers. The emo perils of parenthood! Crazy parent friends and relatives - you know, just like Raising Arizona only not as wacky!! Nick Drake-ish soundtrack-of-your-life tunes!!! Beards and holly-hobby dresses!!!!

I'm so there.

Ugh. Aren't trailers supposed to make you want to see the movie?

Nothing here for me. I'll be saving another $12.
